Second MedProgramme consultations in Rabat

The second Consultation Meeting for the GEF MedProgramme Child project 2.1: Mediterranean coastal zones: climate resilience, water security and habitat protection was held in Rabat, Morocco, on 12-13 December 2017. The consultations were organized for the representatives of Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia. UNEP/MAP and 4 executive agencies (PAP/RAC, BP/RAC, GWP-Med and UNESCO-IHP) presented their objectives, targets to be met and the proposed activities. Representatives of the countries welcomed the activities proposed, identified those of interest for their countries and provided a clear answer to the project partners on the relevance and on the need for the proposed activities. The meeting enabled all the involved partners to update their plans and to streamline the activities towards the most promising and most needed zones.
