PAP/RAC team continues knowledge transfer to SVU students

The PAP/RAC team is strengthening its partnership with the Syrian Virtual University (SVU) by delivering lectures to Master's students in the Management of Natural Resources program. On Friday, 11th October 2024, the latest session focused on coastal planning and climate change adaptation. Key topics included integrating climate change into coastal management and planning, highlighted through case studies like Boka Kotorska Bay in Montenegro and the Regional Coastal Plan in Morocco, which incorporates climate change and adaptation strategies.

The lecture sparked considerable interest among students and SVU faculty members, leading to vibrant discussions on the presented topics. This ongoing collaboration underscores the urgent need for Syria to address pressing issues such as rapid coastal urbanization, while adopting effective tools and methods to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
