The PAP/RAC team working on the ICZM Plan for the Šibenik-Knin County has completed the draft Diagnostic Analysis. On April 8, a meeting was organised with the stakeholders from the County to present the document and get a feedback that would serve as the basis for finalisation of the document. The meeting was attended by 8 participants representing various County departments and offices who judged the draft Diagnostic Analysis very favourably and made valuable suggestions for its completion.
The occasion was used by the PAP/RAC staff to hold a meeting with the counterpart at the County to launch the activities on the organisation of the 2014 Coast Day celebration in Šibenik. Since this year’s Coast Day will have climate variability and change (CV&C) as its main topic, it makes perfect sense to organise a celebration in Šibenik since PAP/RAC is implementing there a GEF MedPartnership project aimed at introducing the issue of CV&C into the physical planning system. It was decided that the event would be organised on Saturday, September 20, and the venue was also proposed. Each side made suggestions regarding the programme, and it was decided to start with preparatory activities as soon as possible in order to achieve a good and well prepared event.
