Within the framework of the CAMP France project (PAC Var), PAP/RAC, in partnership with the French Coastal protection agency (Conservatoire du littoral), organized the third Land-sea forum of the Var County. The Forum was held at the premises of the University of Toulon, on 27 June 2017, as a side event to the 2017 European Days of the Var County.
This event, which brought together 40-odd actors from national, regional and local levels, was dedicated to the theme of the inter-actors co-operation, discussed under the prism of the Mediterranean, but also of the local co-operation. In the first series of round tables, the European projects SimWestMed and Maregot were presented. Possible synergies were discussed, in particular concerning the land-sea interactions and the integration of MSP and ICZM, as well as the possible organisation of joint events in 2018.
During the second session, the draft report on the analysis of ICZM management policies in the Var County regarding the implementation of the ICZM Protocol was presented. A series of recommendations were discussed by the participants, while guidelines and clarifications were set to enable the project team to finalise this document for the final CAMP conference to be held at Villa Noailles in Hyères, France, on 6 October 2017.
