In the framework of GEF MedPartnership project a working meeting for the preparation of a transboundary Buna/Bojana (Albania/Montenegro) Coastal Zone Plan took place in Podgorica on 10 February 2011. The meeting was attended by national team leaders, Ms Marina Markovic (Montenegro) and Mr Zamir Dedej (Albania), and Mr Brian Shipman and Ms Marina Markovic from PAP/RAC. Ms Jelena Knezevic, GEF Focal Point in Montenegro, participated, as well. The main objectives of the meeting were to give an overview on the coastal plan development process; to update on the work undertaken by now; and to define future steps.
At the meeting it was agreed that Albania/Montenegro harmonization meeting will take place in mid-April in Podgorica. Prior to the meeting, it would be necessary to receive official nomination of the management team, in particular the Steering Committee members.
