Second sustainability workshop organised in Reghaïa

On 19 June, the second sustainability workshop in the framework of the elaboration of Reghaia’s coastal plan was organised in the premises of the Centre cynegetic de Réghaia. The objectives of this workshop were to strenghten the participatory approach, to turn strategic action fields into operationnal projects, to validate and refine the priority perimeter around the zone covered by the project of nature reserve, and to define and validate a programme of priority pilote actions. During the discussions, which lasted all day long, other important subjects were raised and some interesting propositions were made, such as asking the Wilaya to pass a decree making a natural protected area the part of the site planned to be protected. This temporary measure would allow to wait for the end of the procedure at the national level. Besides, the issue of the creation of a body responsible for the management of the nature reserve has been discussed. The third and last workshop is planned to be held on 22 July.
