PAP/RAC welcomes “Mare Nostrum“

07.03.2013

A new regional co-operation project - "Mare Nostrum" has recently joined the family of the Mediterranean ICZM projects. “Mare Nostrum“ is an ENPI CBC strategic project approved for funding in 2012.

At the invitation of the project leadership, the PAP/RAC Director took part at the kick-off meeting held in Haifa, Israel, on 3-6 March 2013. The meeting was an occasion to introduce to the project partners the ICZM Protocol, which was actually the source of inspiration for the definition of the project activities. The implementation of the Protocol requirements at the local level will be the core subject for the project partners, and will be explored in Greece, Israel, Jordan, Malta and Spain. More information about the project, its objectives and activities can be found at http://www.marenostrumproject.eu/
