On September 17-19, PAP/RAC hosted the 54th Meeting of the Executive Coordination Panel. Executive directors from the eight Regional Activity Centres and the Coordinator of the MAP Office Ms. Tatjana Hema gathered to discuss the implementation of the UNEP/MAP Programme of Work 2024-2025, along with several key processes and tasks. These included an internal assessment of the coherence of the MAP system with the provisions of the Common Operational Principles for MAP Components, enhancing MAP visibility in global processes and mapping climate change-related activities within the MAP system.
One day was dedicated to the ongoing evaluation of the implementation and revision of the Mediterranean Strategy on Sustainable Development.
This meeting also provided the Executive Coordination Panel an opportunity to bid farewell to the former PAP/RAC Director Ms Željka Škaričić, and to welcome her successor, Ms Daria Povh Škugor.
