On 9 December, members of the ICZM County Committee met at the premises of the Šibenik-Knin County in Šibenik, Croatia. The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the Coastal plan and informed about the additional activities completed or launched regarding the action plan. New initiatives and projects were presented, which was followed by the decisions for collaboration on particular activities.
The meeting further discussed the Adriadapt project. PAP/RAC team presented their activity plan and the data needed, while members of the Committee introduced activities related to data collection. Some members informed about the additional data that could be used for the Adriadapt project activities. A representative of the IRB research institute presented the final results of the Project “NaTEF” – MedPAN – Nautical Tourism Ecological Footprint in MPAs”, while a representative of the Marine Meteorological Centre Split presented the project “IStorm” - Integrated Sea sTORm Management strategies”, which will result with important inputs to coastal planning and management, in particular to disaster risk reduction along the Croatian part of the Adriatic coast. The Regional Development Agency announced new activities in the field of blue economy, while the Civil protection announced a round table to be organized in February 2020. The meeting was concluded to the satisfaction of all participants since all the activities and results presented are on the track of the Coastal Plan.
