On the 26th of January 2023, Albania hosted a local workshop within the framework of CAMP Otranto Transboundary project, as an opportunity for stakeholders and local actors (including prefecture, municipalities, academic institutions, local agencies, civil society) to be informed about the progress made so far, as well as tackling relevant topics like the recycling of fishing gear.
The meeting served as a forum on future project events for the Vlora region and transboundary activities, highlighting the importance of collaboration between Albania and Italy for coastal and marine management in the Otranto Strait.
Afternoon technical sessions covered specific topics like ICZM Methodological Guidance with experts discussing the importance of raising awareness and building capacity, as well as sharing the next steps for the project in 2023.
