CoED completed for Croatia

The World Bank IBRD-IDA has published the final Croatia: Cost of Environmental Degradation report (CoED), as well as, a Story Map, presenting the report in a very appealing and interactive way. The Story Map is accessible through https://arcg.is/1TCLSH0.

The report estimates that cost of inaction to reduce environmental degradation in Croatia can reach up to € 664 million a year, sector depending, and proposes policy recommendations to reduce the costs. The research examines environmental issues with significant environmental degradation potential, including air pollution, solid waste and wastewater management, marine litter and ecosystem losses. It also focuses on sectors, like tourism and agriculture, dependent on sound environmental management and the availability of natural resources.
