The Earth is sending undeniable signals—from record-breaking heat to the rapid thinning of biodiversity. Yet, a powerful counter-signal is gaining momentum: the impact of collective effort. Across the globe, initiatives are successfully restoring ecosystems, scaling clean energy solutions, and rethinking urban design to harmonise with nature.
For PAP/RAC, this collective effort is centred on our coastlines. Through the implementation of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), we work to strengthen the resilience of these vulnerable areas. By protecting marine habitats and supporting balanced coastal planning, we ensure that today’s choices lead to sustainable development.
This year’s theme, "Our Power, Our Planet," serves as a vital milestone in the countdown to World Environment Day on 5 June, when the global community unites to boost climate ambition and safeguard our environment for the generations to come.
