Diagnostic workshop of the regional coastal plan of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region

The diagnostic workshop of the regional coastal plan (Schéma régional du littoral) of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region was successfully held on 29 and 30 September 2022. PAP/RAC, in collaboration with Moroccan partners - Regional Direction of Environment, and with international partners Plan Bleu and GWP-Med, organized the event in Tangier, Morocco, in the framework of the GEF MEDProgramme’s Child Projects 2.1., 2.2. and SCCF. Presentations of the priority themes, debates, a participatory Climagine workshop and sectoral presentations of the Water-Food-Energy-Ecosystems Nexus brought together more than 80 stakeholders, representatives of national and regional governments and relevant institutions. The diagnostic workshop is a milestone in the preparation of the plan, which promotes ICZM values, works for a sustainable future for the region and represents an important step in Morocco’s implementation of the ICZM Protocol.
