The Call for applicant cities has been extended!

MAP announces the 2nd Edition of the Istanbul Environment Friendly City Award open! The Mediterranean coastal cities active in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development are invited to promote their practices and compete for the Award. As recommended by a specific MSSD Flagship Initiative, this Award aims to recognize the efforts of local authorities to improve the environment and the quality of life and promote sustainable development in Mediterranean coastal towns and cities. The Award, funded as a voluntary contribution of Turkey, will be conferred on the occasion of the 21st Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention (COP 21) to be held in Naples, Italy, from 2 to 5 December 2019.

The Call for applicant cities has been extended until 18 September 2019.
