PAP/RAC at the 3rd Meeting on the Update of National Action Plans 2025–2035 under the LBS protocol

PAP/RAC presented and discussed the role of Nature-based Solution at the Third Meeting on the Development/Update of National Action Plans (NAPs) 2025–2035 under the LBS Protocol. The meeting was held on 23–24 April 2025 in Loutraki, Greece, organized by the UNEP/MAP Secretariat - MED POL. Contracting Parties reported progress in identifying hotspots, sensitive areas, and potential pollution reduction measures. Discussions also focused on improving data reporting systems, integrating cost-benefit analysis tools, and aligning with emerging global and regional pollution control policies. The meeting concluded with a call to finalize consolidated NAPs, offering flexibility to align national programmes with the LBS Protocol framework.
