Knowledge Assessment Methodologies (KAM) Fall School

The European Commission’s - JRC in straight collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research is oganising the 7th Edition of the Fall School. It will take place in Rhodes – Greece: 28th September – 2nd  October 2009.

It will present state-of-the-art tools and methods to address policy related knowledge in extended policy processes. Lectures by a group of international experts will cover methodological approaches that aim at combining both aims of widening the range of actors involved in decision-making and of being transparent, open and trustful about the knowledge that is fed into a policy making cycle. These approaches are intended to assure upstream engagement of social actors in the assessment of policy issues, the decision making processes and the development of policy strategies.
