Workshop on monitoring land cover changes for participants from Montenegro

Within the framework of Child Project 2.1. of the GEF MedProgramme, an online workshop was held on 28^th November 2023 regarding the preliminary analyses of land cover change for the Montenegrin coastline. The workshop included the main overview of the IMAP Candidate Common Indicator 25 on land cover change; presentation of the results for Montenegro’s coastal zone, the methodology used and data sources; and data visualization, data validation and quality control.  Together with experts that carried out the analyses, participants discussed the potential considerations in future establishment of good environmental status concerning land cover change, as well as potential practical implications of the assessment’s results.
