Sun rises on CAMP Levante de Almeria

The CAMP "Levante de Almería", Spain, has been launched officially. The Inception Workshop was organised on 15 July 2010 at the Auditorium of the Almería University. Judging by the attendance, the interest in the CAMP is great - there were more than 120 participants representing national, regional and local authorities, scientific community and a number of NGOs. The authorities were represented, among others, by the General Director of the General Directorate for the Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, and the Andalusian Councillor for the Environment. MAP was represented by the Programme Officer and representatives of CP/RAC, PAP/RAC and SPA/RAC. In the afternoon, the participants were divided in two groups that worked in parallel sessions. All parts of the CAMP project were presented, and the participants had the opportunity to ask questions and make comments. In the end, in a joint session, the CAMP was officially launched.
