The Poliedra consortium organises a course on “NBS – nature-based solutions: design, evaluation and management methods, tools and techniques for the use of NBS in urban areas in the context of climate change”. The course, to be held both on-line and on-site, will be held by prof. Elena Germana Mussinelli of the department of architecture, civil engineering and built environment of the Milan polytechnic (www.poliedra.polimi.it/corso_nbs/).
The objective of the course is to provide the students with knowledge, ability and competence necessary for finding most appropriate and feasible morphological and techno-typological solutions for the design, implementation and monitoring of interventions aimed at transforming the built environment and new constructions, following the ever increasing need to use natural systems and components as fundamental support tools for urban regeneration processes in view of resilience and support of green economy.
The course is intended for young graduates, professionals and technicians of the public administration interested in learning more about the topics of environmental design and use of NBS in urban contexts who will, in the end, be re-qualified in environmental and climate change issues. The course will be held from January to June 2021. The candidates have to submit their applications by 11 January 2021.
