On 4 - 5 April 2019, PAP/RAC took part at the PanoraMed transnational seminar and its first call for strategic projects on “Coastal and Maritime Tourism” and “Maritime Surveillance”. The workshop, which was held in Marseille, France, was animated by the Joint Secretariat of the EU Med Programme, including representatives of the Toscana Region and the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development. It was the occasion for the present organisations to discuss potential projects and actions. Two projects will be granted for each component, “tourism” and “surveillance”.
PAP/RAC followed the exchanges under “tourism” of the sub-component “sustainability” which will lead to the preparation of one project proposal. The project to be granted will need to be focused on governance and strategic planning of the terrestrial and marine parts of the coastal areas, paying particular attention to the issues of “seasonality” and “carrying capacity”.
