4th Steering Committee for the MedProgramme Child Project 2.1 successfully completed

On June 11, the partners of the GEF MedProgramme Child Project 2.1 (PAP/RAC, Blue Plan, GWP-Med, and UNESCO-IHP) were delighted to meet with country representatives to present and discuss the last year’s progress and the work plan for the upcoming year. PAP/RAC announced the celebration of Coast Day on September 25, 2024, and invited all countries to participate in the activities. This year’s Coast Day main theme is the role of women in sustainable coastal development. Additionally, the MedOpen course on calculating land cover change (IMAP Indicator 25) was announced for September 2024. The Child Project 2.1 partners were honored when UNEP/MAP Coordinator, Ms. Tatjana Hema, proposed using Child Project 2.1 as a model for enhancing integration across all eight MedProgramme Child Projects.
