EMSEA Conference - Apply now!

The European Marine Science Educators Association (EMSEA), in collaboration with the Department of Geosciences, Faculty of Science, Malta, organizes the fifth EMSEA conference. The conference will be held at the University of Malta in Valetta, Malta, from 7 - 10 October 2017. The aims of the conference are to promote: a further penetration of Ocean Literacy in school curricula; the digital age of Ocean Literacy; Oceans and human health; and the future scenarios and roles for Ocean Literacy. The target participants of the EMSEA conference are all those dealing with the sea, and in particular the researchers, policy makers, lecturers, etc.

EMSEA is a roof organisation which promotes Ocean Literacy across Europe. Its branch EMSEA-Med is focused on the promotion of Ocean Literacy across the Mediterranean region, in the EU and non-EU countries, with the aim of achieving sustainable use and protection of the Mediterranean Sea.
