3rd COASTGAP Steering Committee meeting and conference

The 3rd Steering Committee Meeting and the International Conference of the projects COASTGAP and MEDSANDCOAST took place on 12-14 June at the premises of the Department of Hérault in Montpellier. The aim of the event was to discuss the progress of the best practices capitalisation process and the COASTGAP "Joint Action Plan on MED Adaptation to Climate Change". The events were organised jointly in order to exchange experiences between the two projects, and to improve networking on the similar initiatives around the Mediterranean. A PAP/RAC representative participated in these events in the role of the quality control adviser for the COASTGAP project. The discussions held in the meetings were continued during an interesting field visit of the fragile coastal zone where the Department of Hérault strives to provide for sustainable coastal development.
