MedProgramme CP2.1 coordination meeting between PAP / RAC and Plan Bleu

On 22 and 23 July, PAP / RAC was delighted to host a meeting with the representative of Plan Bleu in PAP / RAC premisses, in the framework of GEF MedProgramme Child Project 2.1. This Child Project deals with Mediterranean coastal zones, their water security, climate resilience and habitat protection. PAP / RAC and Mr Michael Karner from Plan Bleu discussed the upcoming crucial steps towards project implementation, with specific focus on complementary activities such as Climagine workshops and Coastal plans and strategies. Activities related to the preparation of methodological documents, as well as those related to the preparation and implementation of Climagine method and coastal plans in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region in Morocco and Boka-Kotorska Bay in Montenegro were discussed in detail. Upcoming activities in Lebanon (National ICZM Strategy and the Integrated management plan in the Damour Region) as well as activities in Egypt were also discussed. Mr. Antoine Laffite from Plan Blue joined remotely to participate in discussions related to the project activity on coastal observatory.
