{"id":5211,"date":"2024-12-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/news\/pap-rac-joins-medigreen-advancing-the-european-green-deal-in-the-mediterranean\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T10:18:30","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T10:18:30","slug":"pap-rac-joins-medigreen-advancing-the-european-green-deal-in-the-mediterranean","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/novosti\/pap-rac-joins-medigreen-advancing-the-european-green-deal-in-the-mediterranean\/","title":{"rendered":"PAP\/RAC joins MEDIGREEN: Advancing the European Green Deal in the Mediterranean"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are thrilled to announce that PAP\/RAC is a proud partner in the MEDIGREEN project, which stands for &#8211; &#8220;<em>MEDiterranean approach towards a maritime European GREEN Deal in MSP&#8221;.<\/em> This initiative, funded by the European Maritime, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), aims to accelerate the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_en\">European Green Deal<\/a> transition in the Mediterranean Sea through Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP).<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cinea.ec.europa.eu\/news-events\/news\/two-new-eu-funded-projects-maritime-spatial-planning-kicked-2024-12-10_en\">kick-off meeting<\/a>, held last week in Brussels, marked the beginning of a collaborative journey towards sustainability in the Mediterranean. Coordinated by the Spanish National Research Council (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csic.es\/en\/csic\">CSIC<\/a>), MEDIGREEN focuses on critical sectors such as Offshore Renewable Energies (ORE), fisheries, aquaculture, and nature protection.<\/p>\n<p>As a project partner, PAP\/RAC brings its extensive experience in integrated coastal zone management and sustainable development.
