{"id":5125,"date":"2022-12-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-02T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/news\/the-second-thursday-creative-talks-webinar-raised-awareness-on-the-importance-of-coastal-adaptation-planning\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T07:17:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T07:17:15","slug":"the-second-thursday-creative-talks-webinar-raised-awareness-on-the-importance-of-coastal-adaptation-planning","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/novosti\/the-second-thursday-creative-talks-webinar-raised-awareness-on-the-importance-of-coastal-adaptation-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"The second &#8220;Thursday CREATivE Talks&#8221; webinar raised awareness on the importance of coastal adaptation planning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2nd &#8220;Thursday CREATivE Talks&#8221; webinar, which was held on December 1, 2022 in the frame of the Interreg Italy-Croatia project &#8211; <em>Climate RESponses for the AdriaTic rEgion<\/em> (CREATE), was focused on the importance of adaptation planning for coastal areas, in relation to the impacts of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>By highlighting the urgent need for adaptation amid an ongoing climate crisis, presenting the key steps for Coastal Plan preparation and sharing good coastal planning practice, the webinar has sparked a lot of interest among a wide range of more than 170 stakeholders from both countries and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Owing to the MedProgramme, which funded the simultaneous translation from Italian and Croatian to English, we were able to engage a global audience &#8211; from Canada and Brazil on the west, across Africa and the Mediterranean, to China and India on the east &#8211; in order to showcase the benefits of coastal plans based on the ICZM approach \u2013 as a way forward in dealing with the current and expected effects of climate change which affect us all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6434,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-5125","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/5125","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6434"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5125"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
