{"id":5071,"date":"2021-10-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/news\/a-new-medopen-session-on-msp-is-about-to-be-launched\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T07:51:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T07:51:04","slug":"a-new-medopen-session-on-msp-is-about-to-be-launched","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/paprac.org\/hr\/novosti\/a-new-medopen-session-on-msp-is-about-to-be-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"A new MedOpen session on MSP is about to be launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span dir=\"ltr\">We have the pleasure to announce that PAP\/RAC is organising a<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">n online seminar on <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">\u201c<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">MSP in the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">Mediterranean\u201d<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">which will be held <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">through November and December<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">2021<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">, as a combination of self<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">paced learning using <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">MedOpen le<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">arning<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">programme and <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">an <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">interactive <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">training<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">programme with <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">discussions<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">on specific MSP<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">related topics. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">The main objective<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">s<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">of the <\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">seminar<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">are<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">to support the establishment of a common basis <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">for<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">implementation of the Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) within the Barcelona Convention system<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">a<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">nd<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">provide deeper insight into some of the mos<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">t relevant and intriguing topics relevant <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">to<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">MSP: governance, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">climate change, ecosystem approach and land<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">sea interactions<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">. In addition, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">it<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">will provide the opportunity <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">to share <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">practices and lessons learnt fr<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">om the MSP application <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">across<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\">the Mediterranean <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">r<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">egion.
