MedPartnership: Climate change and the planning in the coastal zone

16.10.2010

On 14 October, the Integrative Working Group (IWG) met for the second time to develop an integrative methodological framework for converging methodologies for groundwater/aquifers, rivers, biodiversity and coastal management with the climate change as a cross cutting issue. The partners provided their vision on converging points of their sectors with ICZM, while the specialist in climate change methodology gave several valuable proposals and recommendations for securing optimal integration of the climate change issues in the methodology and in the ICZM planning process in general. The guarantee for the usability of the new methodological framework is the opportunity for the partners to apply it together in the pilot zone of the Buna/Bojana river where an ICZM Plan and an IWRM Plan are to be prepared.
