Coast Day 2017 around the corner

13.09.2017

Once again the year has gone by quickly and another Coast Day is imminent. This event, celebrated annually since 2007, brings together all the countries of the Mediterranean to raise awareness of the importance of the coast as a natural, cultural and economic resource, and the risks it currently faces. The Mediterranean Coast Day 2017 will be held in Tivat, Montenegro on 25 September under the high patronage of H.E. Mr. Filip Vujanovi?, President of Montenegro, who will personally attend the event. The main topic of this year’s event will be “Protect our Sea”, as focus for both official and informal segments of the event. The celebration is being co-organised by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro (JPMD), and the Priority Actions Programme Regional Activity Centre (PAP/RAC). More information about the event is available here.
